POST is Esther Bertram and Alasdair Henry, making chamber pop from the Gold Coast, Australia. They play voice, cello, guitar and stomp.

The songs are built high above Surfers Paradise and played live below it.

Esther is the primary songwriter, bringing a strong pop instinct to the melodies and structures. Alasdair’s cello pulls against that instinct with space, tension and an avant-garde edge. Somewhere between the two is POST.

Esther is a Finnish-Australian singer-songwriter and producer who spent more than a decade making and touring music across Europe, including as lead vocalist with Dissidenten. Alasdair is a UK cellist and composer whose distinctive motif writing shapes the sound of POST.

Together, they make chamber pop built around real instruments and strong songs, with enough room for things to go somewhere unexpected.

Each song arrives with its own artwork. Painterly and a little surreal, it’s made to live beyond the screen.

POST is working toward its debut album and a return to Europe.
